This was an interesting, and sobering 15 minute video.

St. Teresa of Avila-------October 15

There is a huge amount about this lady online- Doctor of the Church / Mystic / Author / Saint...

Feastday: October 15     Patron of Headache sufferers, Spanish Catholic Writers

Birth: 1515     Death: 1582

And an extensive biography here: Spanish mystic, Roman Catholic saint,Carmelite nun, an author of the Counter Reformation and theologian of contemplative life through mental prayer

In one of her visions, a seraph[ drove the fiery point of a golden lance repeatedly through her heart, causing an ineffable spiritual-bodily pain.

This vision was the inspiration for one of Bernini's most famous works, the Ecstasy of Saint Teresa at Santa Maria della Vittoria in Rome.

 Understandably, the memory of this episode remained motivating and influential to her.


 Her lifelong imitation of the life and suffering of Jesus is simply stated in a motto associated with her.



LORD, either let me suffer or let me die. "

6th of October I enjoyed learning about Blessed Raymond yesterday. Thought I would tell story about Saint Bruno today then and see if he is as interesting to know. I am not thinking of much to tell about me. and feel like just zoning out on an Inspector Morse episode. AM Monday waking up with radio as usual. Readings and christian commentary on the news. Hurting Feet and 32 years of Blessings

FYI: Just a couple days a week posts will be a more doable goal I think. Sunday or Monday & 'mid-week,' Nevertheless,  here is a composite post. re: Tiredness & some more about my history. So, I DO KNOW when to quit working. I decide, remind myself to care for my health, then 10 minutes (OK 30) later, I'm still standing here on hurting feet, squinting now (took glasses off when I told myself to stop earlier). Y, I walked away & took a break, lay down for a 15 minute rest that turned into an hour and a half nap. Tom does Not approve of Camera.  I feel so much better after a rest, yet I am still upset somehow that I need it. (It is Extra isn't it? to Nap is to be weak maybe?)  It's been, .. UM let's see, 1985, that would be.... 32!  32 years I've been 'only' tired.  Before they removed the tumour, I got to be tired with nausea and dizzy spells and seizures and mood swings.
